IBM Sterling

This portal is to open public enhancement requests for IBM Sterling products and services. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Search existing ideas

Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

  3. Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Wild Card Searches in Call Center

In the Call Center UI, we'd like to be able to complete wild card searches for many or all of the fields. For example, if I wanted to search for all orders that are from an IBM email address I could search *IBM.com. This would bring up all orders associated with an IBM email address.

We'd like to be able to do this with most fields in the order search screen.

What is your industry? Retail
How will this idea be used?

All users would be able to use this functionality to search for orders in a more creative way if there is an issue with certain types of orders or if we didn't get all of the details we need to easily find the order.

    Hey Jason/IBM,

Just wanted to bump Jake's comment from 1/11/2024 again. Is there any additional documentation that you can provide on this feature in how to use it?

    Hey Jason,

Can you provide any documentation on how to use this feature? I just attempted it again and it did not work.

    Hi Jake,

Wild card search is supported. For example, you can search "ibm.com" in the email field, or "1234" in the phone number field for phone numbers containing 1234. Please let me know if you have any other use cases. Thanks.
