OMS Call Center - Have the user's enterprise default to their locale
User's Enterprise Defaulting to Their Locale
At Brooks Running and I'm sure many other companies, manual created and systematically created records could be tied to one of multiple different enterprise options. Currently in Brooks' instance of IBM Call Center, the enterprise defaults to BROOKS_CA (Canada) which has significantly lower volume compared to our other 2 active enterprises, BROOKS_US and BROOKS_EMEA. This means that whenever a user has a create a new order in Call Center, search existing records, browse products, search for customers, search for alerts, and more, they have to manually select the enterprise that is applicable to the task at hand.
At Brooks, users handle tasks in the geographical enterprise they are located in so I would like to have the BROOKS_US enterprise be the default to users who are located in the US, BROOKS_EMEA be the default for users located in the EMEA region, and for BROOKS_CA be the default for users located in Canada. I would also like for the this functionality to be something that can be easily configured/switched on and off.
While these enhancement would save a few clicks per task, the cumulative time savings over a long duration would be significant and the number of records that we see error out would decrease.
