System level failure Notifications

Purpose of this request: Files entering IBM B2B SaaS solution should create failure notifications if failed. This is working fine when a file is failing in Inflight – Processing step. However, 2 areas are identified when no failure notification is generated. Due to this we are losing track of our files and loss of business.

Here are two areas/instances when no failure notification is generated. Upon contacting IBM support, we got understand IBM B2B SaaS platform do not support generation of alerts if file is failing due to below reasons:

  1. Presently, if any business document or file fails at the process level (due to a rule not being found), it is not tracked in inflight and does not trigger automatic notifications.

  2. There are files failing at the communication level where no notifications or failure alerts are received in inflight.

In addition to above, we need failure notification to be configurable so that Hanon EDI team can configure the emails on their own.
