ERN configurations rely heavily on Sender, Receiver, and Doctype information to trigger alerts to the users. This system works well if the sender/receiver/doctype is resolved by the time failure happens. However, if a failure occurs before the metadata (Sender, Receiver, Doctype) is resolved, those failed documents were not alerted to the intended users.
To address this issue, we propose enabling FLAG-based ERN configuration. This approach would allow ALL failed documents to be alerted to the target user group. The FLAG will be assigned through the BPN ST routing rules by the implementer. This enhancement is somewhat related to (https://ideas.ibm.com/ideas/SCBNCORE-I-809) where we requested flag-based data filters, but in this case, we are asking ERNs to trigger based on same flag concept
