IBM Sterling Ideas

Shape the future of IBM!

We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

IBM is transforming its request for enhancement (RFE) process. The purpose of the transformation is to provide a more consistent experience for you to submit requests and to enable IBM product owners to respond to your requests more quickly. For more information click here.

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
1. Post an idea
2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you
3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea

Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests

The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notifications on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

About email notifications and body

Issue 1:

For Example there is a partner called ABCBank and we have three child accounts(ABCBank-1, ABCBank-2, ABCBank3) in Sterling Integrator as well as PEM. And we have to rollout a activity for ABCBank and we would like to reset a password for ABCBank-2 but email notfication is getting all child accounts from PEM automated email.

Is there any feasibility in PEM we can select specific child account while rolling-out an activity so that specific child account only receive email notification.

Issue 2:

Can we choose specific email template for each PEM Definition ?

If you can accomdate in next version that would be great.

How will this idea be used?

Currently when we rolling out an activity all the accounts under on parent partner account are getting email notification. If we have an option to choose which email account needs to get notification that would clear confusion to the partners.

    Steven,

Based on further discussion, this looks like our plans for third party processor (TPP) would address your ask. With TPP, we could set up partners with different "divisions" that would then allow you to reach out to a specific partner division and address their needs. I will promote this one to a plan for a release based on this understanding.

    Hi Greg,

For better explanation we have provided the password activity example. Forgot about SFG and password resets. What we want is when we rolling out a partner in PEM under that partner there may be multiple child’s users. We need to have an option to select particular user to get email notifications. So that only that user can involve in that activity. Currently all users under the partner getting email notifications. If needed, we can schedule a call and discuss. Please let me know if you have any questions

    Steven,

We will need to understand if you are talking about resetting a password for a PEM account or an SFG account. This will determine if you are referring to a third party processor capability where a third party processor would manage a series of partners of if you talk considering that this is resetting a password in SFG where each SFG connection is a separate trading partner, but we have the ability to set up a partner with systems below them for those separate connections in PEM.

Let me know if we need to get on the phone to review this further.

    Steven,

I believe that the ask is that you want to be able to reset the password in SFG for one of the systems in PEM. PEM has the concept of Systems that allow one partner to have more than one connection. Are you looking for PEM to be able to reset passwords in SFG for each one of these individual systems?

    Steven,

Thanks for comments and suggestion. I am working with the Engineering team to determine the best course of action. I will update you as those discussions progress.
