multiple payment types in single coupon configuration

Business user wants to configure a coupon rule which can provide payment type discounts as listed below.

  1. If payment type is American Express provide 5% discount

  2. If payment type is Master Card provide 10% discount

How will this idea be used?

The business user will have the ability to configure adjustments by payment types. See attachment for the suggested/proposed configuration.

    Thank you for submitting your idea. In the screenshot provided, I can see that you are using PaymentType with values American Express and MasterCard. Typically, PaymentType would be things like Credit Card, Stored Value Card, Customer Account, etc. Values like American Express and Master Card would be configured as Credit Card Types, applicable for Payment Type Credit Card.

    Given this standard configuration, the suggested enhancement would still not meet your needs, since the Coupon configuration is at the PaymentType level. This does mean however that you could choose Credit Card as your Payment Type and then use Order Attribute Filters to further refine the applicable orders by Credit Card Type.

    For the use case of allowing different adjustment types/values per PaymentType, this makes the configuration overly complex and would significantly change the backend logic of processing a Coupon adjustment. If different adjustments are required, we recommend using different Coupons.
