IBM will put the DB reset into consideration. However DB Backup will not be included in this RFE.
Thanks
This requirement consists of two parts DB restore and a Environment Reset feature
Specially on the environment reset, the task is tricky as an OMoC environment have many active dependencies with other SaaS product including Inventory Visibility, Store Inventory Management. To perform a thorough reset, all service must perform the reset at the same time and clearing any in-flight traffic. Suppose if this RFE is to be pick up. the reset scope will be limited to only OMoC and the client will be responsible to clean up their own data in the dependency services.
IBM's suggestion is client to attempt to perform a clean up and reapply chance to the environment without the needs to perform a DB restore or reset. This is exactly what IBM does for internal testing. Please consider this as a work around.
For the Environment Reset, we do not see ability to fulfill the requirement in 2023 as this is submitted towards the holiday season, it will be difficult to perform any DB related certification for this feature around this time.
We can certain plan this in our forward roadmap next year and keep in mind this will be a big effort as IBM is determine to correctly design the reset capability across all services.
Please let us know the alternative timeline other than 2023.
