Enhance the Excel adapter design to accommodate\control Excel worksheet cell properties for data added by the Excel adapter.

We would like to create $ input amounts as a 'CURRENCY' field. Since the adapter only handles output as General TEXT format we are confined to this format and no other.

How will this idea be used?

Black Knight presently has a project with a request to perform the XML to XCEL process. This request is being requested by the VA and will be used for many clients. A case number TS004639492 can be used as a reference point.

    Apologies Keith, let me rephrase: Our suggestion is to use a mapping function to format the TEXT data so that it would be acceptable to the correct data type in Excel. We understand that this is a very manual process (and that this type of feature would be very useful). Our rules of engagement for these RFEs requires a max 18 month horizon to deliver else, we need to reject outright. We are tracking this in a separate system for a release beyond that timeline

    Your suggestion : 'sending the TEXT of that value into the product', is exactly what is happening now. The value appears as a text value.
    We want the value to appear to EXCEL as a currency Value not a text product.

    We would not be able to contain this functionality in a 12-18 month window. We recommend that in such cases that th euse verifies or formats the data in th erequired format using a mapping fucntion to manipulate the date and send the TEXT of that value into the output.
