As input data we have EDI file wit almast all segments optional. As output we have IDOC for which all segments are required. One of required IDOC segment id build by functional map with which as a parameter has one of optional EDI segment. If EDI input data does not contains segment A, functional map does not produce IDOC segment A based on EDI segment A. Output will be null. Finaly run map finish without errors. SAP does not accept this IDOC with error "Adapter faild tu put data on output". In this caes sould be possible tuor on output data control comptibility wir mtt definion and final message shold be "One or more outputs was invalid"

    Its not clear that this is an adapter issue. There may be a way in the map to return a failure (such as setting audits on the output). Please open a support case, and our analysts will review if this is either a quick resolution for which we can provide guidance or it may require a more significant review of your architecture.
