To Have a configuration which allows teams to consider multi-level sub vendors to create Chained order duringexternalize Inventory

  • Consider a scenario -
We want to externalize inventory which is a Microservice outside OMS.
  • We have a Organization set as below-
Enterprise --> Main Vendor -->Local Area Vendor --> Actual store/person who has inventory.
  • In this case with current functionality, we need to externalize all the parent organization and make everything as their own Inventory Organization and then create ATP rules for all parent org.
  • The maintenance becomes difficult as and when new vendors are onboarded we need make entries for each one of them.

If we do not externalize if we create the rules for Enterprise it applies for all vendors, sub vendors etc. It would be good to have same behavior when we externalize as well.

This way maintenance becomes easier and less number of changes inturn resulting in less prod issues.

    Hi Team,

As per current details the customer concern is External Inventory UE is not invoked; which we feel is a minor issue and should be resolved as skill case/Defect and not as RFE.

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out with an idea. It's under review.

    • Enterprise --> Main Vendor -->Local Area Vendor --> Actual store/person who has inventory.

From this org setup, can you please confirm what type organizations are they (in bold)

Also, details shared are not sufficient to understand your idea thought. Please explain it more.

    regards,

    Bharat K
