Hello Bharat.
To consider this further, we need couple of clarifications for the below open questions.
Is the shipnode location to which the inventory will be transferred is known before createOrder ?
Is customer passing shipnode and procurefromnode in findInventory ?
Are you expecting to reserve inventory on the procurefromnode and use this reservation to createOrder ?
Can we get a sample scenario with apis they expect to call and inventory picture at each participating shipnode during the complete end to end flow ?
w.r.t to the comment:
"Currently, create order does have option to pass IsFirmPredefinedNode attribute to bypass node stamped in order. Also there is a mechanism to send OrderLineSourcingCntrl element to control this. However such a feature is not available for findInventory api."
Basically these options are exposed in createOrder since the shipnode information are store at the order lines and cannot be changed on the fly. But findinventory being a getter api the shipnodes passed in the api input can be modified [or left blank] as per their requirement. Thus these attributes w.r.t createOrder are not actually required in findInventory.
Thanks for this update Manjunath...
