Provide support for S3 compatible storage

While many customers use S3 they may wish to use other vendors and universal support for S3 versus just AWS would be helpful

    Thank you for your patience as we worked on this enhancement request. I'm pleased to announce that we have expanded S3 compatible storage support with the v6.1 release of Connect:Direct which became generally available on 5/8/20. This includes direct read/write access to Ceph, MinIO, and Dell EMC ECS cloud object storage solutions.     In my company we have CEPH Object Storage (Red Hat) and it will be helpfull if Connect:Direct had support to CEPH S3 API.

    Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM.  I have reviewed the request with my development team and we are all in agreement that it would be valuable to extend our S3 interaction capabilities to S3 compatible storage solutions that aren't running on AWS.  I've accepted this enhancement request as an uncommitted candidate and we will look to add it to our roadmap moving forward.
