Allow PROPGATE.DSNTYPE=YES to work while PROPAGATE.SMSCLASS=(COND or YES,NO,NO) for PDSEs

Why is it useful? It will respect the source dataset’s DSNTYPE and allocate the dataset with the correct DSNTYPE. Who would benefit from it? Any z/OS platform that has ACS routines that do not override a user’s requested DSNTYPE. How should it wor...

Dynamic removal of redundant checkpoint entries

Can the logic behind CKPT.DAYS be extended so that this function in invoked on a regular basis (e.g. daily) instead of only when z/OS Connect:Direct is started? When the checkpoint dataset becomes full, the only way to defragment it or clear out r...

Connect:Direct RESTAPI at the CD nodes (including Z) support

We would like be able to use RESTAPI services to access Connect:Direct at the z/OS node level (not via CDWS) in order to handle job abends with NDM status

Check the Write permission on Destination Mainframe Dataset without submitting COPY statement

Hi Team, We are trying out a way if we can check permission on target zOS Dataset on SNODE, before doing actual transfer. Like we do 'Echo Test" to test if the NDM connectivity is good between 2 NDM nodes. If we can have option in NDM to do 'Ec...

Target node alternate communication paths not retried when connected via Sterling Secure Proxy.

There appears to be a design flow within CD/Z when communicating via SSP and target CD node not being reachable via primary path, CD/Z initial SSL handshake times out and connection to target CD node not retried by CD/Z via ALT.COMM path(s).

High availability for Connect Direct Manager running in a sysplex.

Hi,We are looking for a high availability solution for Connect Direct Manager. We currently have one CD manager running in a sysplex and are at risk of this task going down and not restarting as there is no fallback for this component. We would li...

Connect Direct Z/OS Password-less Sign-On : Use certificate authentication for the CD session. CD currently supports this for the API connection (e.g. port 1363) and exploring if this could be added for the server connection (i.e. port 1364). The goal would be to use the certificate Common Name as the user ID as we do for the API connection or expand to allow other sources for the user ID – Jobname, SPOE, in-line SIGNON, batch user ID, etc. – and define order of precedence.

Issue Description: Client has security initiative to remove passwords being exposed in jobs. If there is a sign on ID used it is ignored if there is a password less ID and defaults to the job card ID. If client removes password from the sign-on ca...

Wildcards to send PDS datasets to Linux/Windows directories

Actually it's not possible to send PDS members from CDzOS to CDLinux or CDWindows, using wildcards, f.i. USER.PDS.DSN(*) to /user/path/*. We have several applications that are using other products like XCOM or MQFTE, and with these products it's p...

Allow Override of STOP CD QUIESCE for C:D z/OS

When a Connect:Direct region is shut down with a STOP CD QUIESCE, the region will terminate when all processes stop, making it an ideal choice for a planned shutdown. However, once initiated, this cannot be aborted or converted to a quicker type o...

Passphrase Support for 100 Characters

RACF currently supports 100 characters for passphrases. Having all z/OS software/products also support that limit aligns them with the RACF limitations. This allows users even greater options at creating longer passphrases thus a more secure one.
