Currently there is no feature available OOB like a check box to enable or disable an enterprise which is a seller or a node which is a seller. Hence it keeps on showing up on the dropdown on UI related to organization. The requirement is to deactivate temporarily so that it does not show up in any enterprise or node dropdowns on UI like - console, SBC , Order Hub.
There is a Activateflag attribute at enterprise and node level however that does not have a feature attached to it and is marked as deprecated. Inventory considerations, sourcing can be blocked by explicit calls to manageInventoryNodeControl API by blocking the node for all inventory items. However the ask is more to it - to mark them as non-participating one and not delete them as we might need them afterwards. Hence it's more like a clickable options to enable/disable them.

How will this idea be used?
We do have frequent requirements where we have to enable nodes/enterprise or may be disable few - mainly from stores point of view. Now the ask is to mark them as non-participating one and not delete them as we might need them afterwards. Business wants to have it as a more clickable option where it can be easily turned off/on based on requirement. Also not preferring any custom approach to handle this. Currently they see it as a missing feature and more difficult to manage. Other details have been mentioned already on above section. |
