Serialnumber management for spare parts

Sales order process for spare parts requires determination of parts with associated serial number. Currently, OMS requires shipnode to be known, but to make use of sourcing capabilities in OMS shipnode are to be determined during scheduling and sourcing. Details see attachment

What is your industry? Travel & Transportation
How will this idea be used?

For spare parts, the sales order determines items with serial number and this specific items need to be identified in Distribution Centers and delivered to Business customer. So Inventory in OMS needs a classification by serial number to allow sourcing.
