Currently silent installation for Windows allows to provide CD_ADMIN_USERID in CD_SRVR.INI. The enhancement is to add new parameter CD_ADMIN_GROUPID that would allow to provide Group Name as CD Administrator Group.

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

User that wants to install Connect Direct could choose to use USER or GROUP as Administrator in Connect Direct for Windows.

Is CD_ADMIN_USERID parameter required in CD_SRVR.INI? If not, will I end up in Functional Authorities with user name that initiated Connect:Direct installation? If yes, is there any flag/switch/parameter not to create such user in Functional Authotiries?

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. After discussing with development, we believe the requested request for enhancement does not align with our product roadmap considering the boarder market needs. For that reason I am putting this as "Not under consideration" and we can revisit this once we see interest from more customers (via Voting or Comments)

I understand that this is not the answer you were expecting however if you have any additional feedback, thoughts or ideas, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation. Appreciate your patience.

You can already add a CD Administrator Groups during a silent installation by importing a user.cfg file.

Specify CD_USERAUTH_FILE in CD_SRVR.INI and point it to a custom user.cfg file that includes definitions for your users, groups or proxies. You can create a userfile.cfg by using CD Configuration Utility (CDConfig.exe).

    Hope this helps.
