Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
IBM is transforming its request for enhancement (RFE) process. The purpose of the transformation is to provide a more consistent experience for you to submit requests and to enable IBM product owners to respond to your requests more quickly. For more information click here.
Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
1. Post an idea
2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you
3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notifications on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Copy/Paste Entire Objects/Dialogs/Tasks (keeping mappings, etc. exactly the same)
Need to be able to copy and paste within PEM.
-
Arrow Keys (on keyboard) to move objects
Currently arrow keys on the keyboard do nothing in PEM. If an object is selected, the arrow keys on the user's keyboard (not buttons on the screen) should move the object. If the object is aligned with other objects on the page, this should be rep...
-
Help Text should be an Object Property
Rather than having to add it's own object for help text, this should be a property attached to the object, so that it moves appropriately with the object automatically. If help text property is not blank, the image should appear next to the object...
-
Add red asterisks in front of required fields (same as tables already does)
This is already a feature within tables... it should be everywhere else to match.
-
Read-Only Text Box (or make Text Area height match text boxes)
Currently only Text Areas can be read-only, but the smallest height for text areas is larger than the height of text boxes, so it looks terrible. Either text boxes need to be able to have read-only, or the text area minimum height needs to match.
-
Exit Validation on File Uploads
We would like to be able to have exit validation to check if a file upload has been attached, as well as to check file types.
-
Disable some automated e-mails
Sponsor should have the option to disable specific automated e-mails if desired
-
E-mail Template Variables Standardized
The numbers used to identify variables within e-mail templates should be consistent across all templates.
-
Ability to set tab order for objects within a dialog
Currently the tab order defaults to the order in which the objects were created and can not be changed. The objects get moved around and thus is confusing when trying to tab through to fill out a form.
-
Be able to customize the default location of logging files
It would be very useful to be able to change the location of the log files.Currently it's located on [CX]/config.
