SCC to support SNMPv3

We implemented IBM Sterling Commerce as our standard file transfer service. Currently, our Control Center is sending traps using SNMPv2. Our primary interest is in being able to receive and send SNMPv3 traps as v2 comes with a lot security vulnerabilities.

We are investigating on supporting SNMPv3 and trying to understand what the JDMK toolkit (that we use) has to offer. We do have questions on the overall expectations, support wise, and how to configure the systems for this capability.

Essentially we would like to understand what abilities are desired with SNMP v3 support.

Please let us know if anyone is interested in sharing more on this.

    Thank You
