IBM Sterling Ideas
Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
IBM is transforming its request for enhancement (RFE) process. The purpose of the transformation is to provide a more consistent experience for you to submit requests and to enable IBM product owners to respond to your requests more quickly. For more information click here.
Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you, 1. Post an idea 2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you 3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notifications on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Currently SSP forward IP for HTTP Protocol to sterling b2b integrator but it doesn't have capability to forward client IP for other protocols to sterling b2b integrator.
We have a regulatory requirement to capture IP for all inbound files/transactions and send to downstream applications in real time.

How will this idea be used?
This will help in capturing end to end IP for per file and meet regulatory requirement. |

Yes, we are enhancing this with some more changes from B2B integrator side in their upcoming release and this feature has an impact on that change. Please drop me an email @ vijay.chougule@us.ibm.com and I will be happy to share more details over email? Thanks
Hi Vijay
On 12/16/2020 you wrote "This is available in Secure Proxy in latest fix-pack of 6.0.1 and will be available 6.0.2 onwards.". Are you saying that this is a 2-part change and the SSP cahnges have been completed but the SFG changes are pending?
Ehsan
The details on the steps to configure the IP capture feature for SFTP will be documented when the changes are implemented in B2B integrator later this year.
Could you please detail the steps to turn on the feature to forward the original source IP for the SFTP protocol?
This is available in Secure Proxy in latest fix-pack of 6.0.1 and will be available 6.0.2 onwards.
Hi, from which version is this enhancement available?
Hi, This is being planned to be available in early Q4 after the Q3 release of B2Bi/FG 6.1
Do you have a tentative date or version of SSP and B2Bi/SFG to have it deployed?
We are currently working on an option to achive this via SSP logs. The changes would be across SSP and SFG and are under development.
This request is currently under review. The development team is exploring options with Sterling File Gateway solution to achieve this.
Needed details to support regulatory requirement. Thanks!
