SSP capability to forward the IP details of the incoming connection to Sterling Integrator Merged

Currently SSP as an application has the feature to forward the user credentials / session token received from SEAS to Sterling Integrator which lies in the secure zone. It does not have a feature or capability to forward the incoming connection request IP details to Sterling Integrator. Since for all incoming connection at SI, communication session will have a track of internal IP as the connection for it is received from SSP. It would be good to have the IP details forwarded from SSP to SI as well which will reduce the dependency of checking the IP at SSP logs.

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

It will be helpful in debugging the connectivity issues, tracking from which GEO location the incoming connection request was sent from and many other cases.

We are planning to support this capability in IBM SP (to forward the IP details of the incoming connection to B2B Integrator) in one of the future release. We are tracking this for end of 2019 timeline.

Thanks for submiting your idea. We will be evaluating the requirements around forwarding IP details of the incoming connection however We discussed blocking the IPs from sanctioned countries. Based on that two requirements came out:

    1. Blacklist of sanctioned regions IP addresses from another company site like AKAMI.

    2. If a blacklist failure occurs, capture the Username of the authentication request from the undesirable IP address.
