Add SOCKS Support for All SSP Protocols

This would be useful in our environment so that we have the ability to refresh hardware at a more rapid pace without having to worry about maintaining IP addresses in the refresh or notify our customers that we are moving to new infrastructure. Our customers would instead see the connection sourced from our SOCKS server IPs.

What is your industry? Banking
How will this idea be used?

We would use this setup for all of our outbound connectivity to mask the true IP that the traffic originated from.

    Hi,

Thanks for logging this Aha! Idea on our portal. We have looked at this request and have decided to add SOCKS5 forward proxy support for FTP, FTPS and SFTP. We have decided to be in sync with what B2Bi offers so that customers using B2Bi's ability for SOCKS5 can leverage SSP as a Proxy solution. This should satisfy your requirements too. We are now working on a timeline to get this done. As we have more details, I will update here.

In the future, feel free to file more Enhancement Requests using this tool as you see fit.

    Thanks & Regards,
