Enable SMA screen to accept all passwords generated by external systems

SMA screen is not allowing user to enter the SFTP password and giving below error.

Input should match ^[a-zA-Z0-9.@\-V+=_()\}\{\]\[,;:'"\u007F-\uFFFF]*$ regular expression

Property being changed is yfs.coc.dataextract.sftp.password


As the password is generated by external SFTP server, it does not confirm to the validation rules added by IBM for their SMA Screen.

Requesting external systems to generate password due to set of rules set on OMOC SMA Screen is not an option as it has larger implications and multiple other systems are using the same SFTP server.

    Hi Deependra, thank you for sharing your enhancement request. I have discussed with engineering, and the restriction on certain special characters is a limitation of the UI platform used for SMA. OMS itself does not have this limitation, and you should be able to set property values without the UI limitation by using the manageProperty API.
    Working around this limitation would require a re-implementation of SMA capabilities on a different UI platform. This is not something that we have in our short term roadmap. Most customers have been able to work with the allowed character set of SMA or have used the manageProperty API as a workaround.
