Implementation of Agentic AI in Order Service

We request an enhancement for implementation of an Agentic AI framework within the Order Service module of IBM Sterling OMS. The Order Service holds a vast amount of structured and unstructured order-related data, including customer behavior, order history, product preferences, and fulfillment patterns.

Leveraging this rich dataset, an Agentic AI system could:

  • Proactively identify and predict customer behavior: Analyze historical order data to forecast future purchasing trends and customer needs.

  • Generate advanced insights: Provide actionable intelligence on order-specific issues, such as identifying root causes for returns, delays, or fraud.

  • Enhance customer service: Enable automated, intelligent responses to customer queries based on their unique order context.

  • Optimize operations: Recommend data-driven adjustments to inventory, shipping, and fulfillment processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

This enhancement would transform the Order Service from a data-storing system into an intelligent, insight-generating platform, providing significant business value by enabling more personalized customer experiences and more efficient operational management.
