With advancement of technology, Connect Direct needs to compatible with new OS versions and DB versions

We noticed that Connect Direct ver 6.0 is only compatible with Windows 2016 and SQL 2016. There are new versions of both Windows and SQL are available like SQL 2017, SQL 2019.

ABN AMRO who is one of the prestigious strategic customer of IBM is using Sterling suite of products like Sterling File Gateway Solution, Connect Direct etc.

We are planning upgrade of Connect Direct to ver 6.0 but we noticed that it is not certified with SQL 2017 / SQL 2019.

We would be needing confirmation from product team that Connect Direct ver 6.0 is compatible with SQL 2017/SQL 2019

We are running upgrade project from Connect direct 4.9 to Connect Direct 6.0 and certification that Connect direct ver 6.0 is compatible with SQL 2017/SQL 2019 will really help us in upgrading current version before it goes out of support in Sep-2021

    Thank you for opening this enhancement request with IBM. I'm pleased to share that we delivered SQL 2019 certification in the latest maintenance for C:D Windows v6.0. Please visit Fix Central to pull down this version so that you can start utilizing the latest SQL version.

    Thank you for opening this enhancement request with us. I have reviewed it with my team and we believe that it will be possible to expand DB certifications for C:D Windows. I will accept this request and will look to add it to the roadmap moving forward.

    Remark ABN AMRO prefers SQL2017 in this case.
