User based data limit policy

When the same data limit policy is applied to various users, the inbound traffic byte counter is the sum of all the users included in the policy. So if one of them is reaching the limit. All the users of the policy are affected.

Please, consider to change the way of how it works. The byte counter should be individual for each user. So if one of the users reaches the limit, the rest of the users will not be affected.

The idea is to create a generic data limit policy to prevent partner abuse storing files in the SI mailboxes.

    Hello Mark,

Thanks for your feedback. But basically we would be happy to create just 1 policy for all of the partners that we want to set a data limit. Your purpose does not escalate very well in case of that the data limit must be applied to hundreds of users.

    Kind regards,

    Víctor

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

We have reviewed this request with our technical team and have determined that we may already support the use case you have described in your request.

You could consider putting the partner into their own group with separate policies tailored to their usage and/or utilizing the policy based on IP. See https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/b2b-integrator/6.2.0?topic=policies-ftp-sftp-adapter-limitation-overview
