Mail Client adapter to allow Oauth 2.0 with grant_type as Client Credentials

The out of the box B2B mail client adapter allows to make connections to the mail exchange server for OAuth2.0 with grant_type as "Password" only.

The grant_type as password is an obsolete and a vulnerable way of getting tokens and should allow grant types as "Client Credentials" too.

What is your industry? Financial Markets
How will this idea be used?

As microsoft movign away from the basic authetnication is asking customers to make use of Modern Authentication (OAuth2.0), the grant typs as password is restricted (atleast in our organisation). Microsoft (and other security portals) even recommends not making use of Password to get tokens as it defies the very essence of making use of Id/PW to authenticate.

The current IBM Sterling B2B integrator does allow OAuth2.0 but its only restricted to Password as Grant type which we cannot use in our organisation. We being a financial institution, always need a security clearance when setting up Integration points (in this Microsft exchange server). With Grant type as Client Credentials, the connection would be more secure.

Thank you for participating in the request for enhancement community. At this time we are unable to prioritize this request in the short term, however, we have added this to our roadmap and will continue to monitor.
