Implicit SSL is making a comeback with some sites due to its immediate application of SSL

Implicit SSL is generally not considered a best practice when setting up FTPS. The preferred alternative is Explicit SSL, which is the current standard for FTPS connections for B2B Integrator. However, some of our customers experience intense business pressure to keep Implicit SSL around for inbound connections as well as new connections due to the fact it imposes SSL immediately. This is where B2Bi comes in. For an FTP server adapter being able to establish IMPLICIT SSL would be very helpful for those customers where IMPLICIT is mandated as an option for inbound connections.

How will this idea be used?

Customer has a mandate that requires Implicit SSL for some of their internal connections. They must have this functionality and they intend to expand its use over time, replacing Explicit SSL due to the fact it imposes SSL immediately upon the client's connection.
