Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
IBM is transforming its request for enhancement (RFE) process. The purpose of the transformation is to provide a more consistent experience for you to submit requests and to enable IBM product owners to respond to your requests more quickly. For more information click here.
Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
1. Post an idea
2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you
3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notifications on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
SCC should secure Cognos using the same certificates as the SCC application by default
The integrated Cognos instance in SCC should be secured using the same certificate stores as the SCC application itself. I should not use a CAMUSER certificate signed by CA as the default when SCC has been secured using private certificates. This ...
Ability to generate alerts only when adapters on all nodes are down.
Currently we have the ability to get notified whenever the adapters are down, however we need to get alerts only when all the adapters in a cluster are down rather than getting notified when an adapter on a particular node is down.
Have Control Center be able to monitor alternate IP addresses for CD fail over servers
Currently when a CD server is defined on Control Center only one IP address can be listed. We have some failover servers where the name of the Connect Direct is the same, but if the primary goes down and the failover comes up, Control Center canno...
Allow Admin User To Act As Non-Admin User
As a Control Center admin, I can see all activity while signed in with my own credentials. To troubleshoot incidents for other users, it is advantageous to sign in with the same credentials they have so that I can see things from their points of v...
User management between SCC and Cognos
As of today, the user management for Cognos is done through a java security call to SCC, that provides dummy user/password to be able to run report. We do not have the possibility to create users in SCC that can connect to the cognos dispatcher, a...
SCC reporting limitation needs to be greatly increased or removed
Currently, when running Cognos based reporting through SCC, there is a hard limit of 5000 records being returned. We need this increased since some days we have more than 100k files transferred or alerts that need to be reported for a time period ...
Contol Center needs to have a contingency synchronization function
Control Center needs to have a configuration synchronization feature that keeps all of the non-server specific configuration items in sync with a contingency instance of SCC that is not running but shares a synchronized database. Manually copying ...
Configuration management should have an approval process for changes
There should be an approval process built into SCC for making changes with the Configure Servers functions. Adding an optional hook to make a call to a change management system for validation would be even better. The change process should include...
Report creation should be extended to the Web Console
Report creation and modification options should be extended to the Web Admin Console.
Reports created in Cognos should be able to be scheudled and managed in SCC
The integration of Cognos has provided unending options for generating reports but anything created in Cognos is not visible to SCC for scheduling or management/modification through the GUI.
