Shape the future of IBM!
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
IBM is transforming its request for enhancement (RFE) process. The purpose of the transformation is to provide a more consistent experience for you to submit requests and to enable IBM product owners to respond to your requests more quickly. For more information click here.
Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
1. Post an idea
2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you
3. Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notifications on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
MyFileGateway 2.0 (enable same capabilities / customization / Usability similar to 1.0)
There currently more customization in 1.0 vs 2.0 in terms of permissions and default views (FileActivity/downloads/uploads). The enhancements of multifile download and download as Zip are what our users wanted, but not with loss of certain functio...
Extend myFileGateway/SFG such that users can be assigned to multiple organizations where that user can upload/download files within those organizations and have visibility to file movements within that organization
For security, administration, and governance, a user (external or internal) should be able to use a single LDAP account to manage multiple organizations in myFileGateway/SFG, where that LDAP user can upload/download files within those organization...
myfilegateway download tab
When a producer uploads a file to a mailbox that has an associated routing channel, once the routing is complete the file shows up in the file listing in the producers download tab in myfilegateway. This has caused some concern for some of my prod...
Make FGArrivedFile REST API useable.

myFileGateway activity search screen options are meaningless for external partenrs
'Producer', 'Consumer', 'Protocol' and 'Status' does not make much sense to external partenrs. They are too technical or better suitable only for FG admins.
For example: 'Protocol' selection. Why this option is given to partner? He always logs...
Enable end users to replay their own files WITHOUT giving them any other administrative permissions.
End users often need to have files replayed due to various intermittent SFG error conditions. Allowing these users to replay their own files saves them time and saves SFG administrators the effort required to replay these files
Create Better SFG Rebranding Documentation
This document could use some serious expansion and updating. It would also be nice if some of the basic re-branding could be handled wi...
Self-Service option in SFG, allow our business partner to replay their own failed transfers.
Is there an option in SFG to allow our business partner to replay their own failed file transfers for their accounts? If so, do you have any documentation/information on how to enable that feature?
SFG/SI users changing password with SEAS
There is presently no way to for a myfilegateway user to change their password if Sterling External Authenticator is used. Which seems odd because SFG can talk to SEA and validate an SSO token. There needs to be a feature to allow users to change ...
