Adding new indexes to database for enhancing performance.

The current DB settings seems to be insufficient for production environment. The performance dramatically enhanced after adding them during DB analysis made by our DBA team. I have raised TS001613070, and IBM Support agreed to add these indexes but mentioning, that they may disappear after any software update, so the complete solution should consider adding the creation of these indexes during the software/update deployment as the information to the software package.

Our proposal reflects our naming conventions, but GBMS string can be included as a deployment parameter.

create index CC_CLUSTER_EVENT_GBTS on CC_CLUSTER_EVENT(CLUSTER_ID,CLUSTER_EVENT_ID,SOURCE_ID);

create index CC_PROCESS_GBTS on CC_PROCESS(PROC_STATUS,STARTED_DAY,NODE_TYPE_ID);

How will this idea be used?

ICC gathers all Connect Direct nodes setups in Citi and it is a middleware for automated configuration requests made by all Connect:Direct users. Enhancing ICC DB performance will stabilise and improve this automated service.

    The Control Center does not drop any of the indexes unless the tables are dropped during the upgrade by the user.
