Enhancement to Display Full Configuration Names in Sterling Secure Proxy UI

Currently, in the Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP) administrative UI, configuration object names (such as Netmaps, Policies, and Server definitions) are truncated due to fixed column widths. Users must click on each individual entry to view the full configuration name.

This behavior significantly impacts usability, especially in enterprise environments where naming conventions are long and descriptive for audit, compliance, and operational clarity. The inability to view full names directly from the list view slows down administration, troubleshooting, and validation activities.

The proposed enhancement is to improve visibility of full configuration names without requiring additional clicks.

    Hi,

This enhancement was implemented in SSP 6.2.1.x. The Description column was removed to provide additional space for item names, allowing longer names to be displayed without truncation. If you are on a version earlier than 6.2.1.x, upgrading will include this change.

    Best,

    Kainoa
