We'd like to propose the introduction of support for configuring multiple Netmap entries for mailboxes that require access from multiple IP ranges.

A partner requires IP restrictions for their mailbox. However, their access originates from multiple locations, resulting in connections from various IP addresses. Unfortunately, the current version of Secure Proxy Engine doesn't support associating multiple Netmap entries with a single mailbox to accommodate these additional IPs.
Enhancement Request:

We'd like to propose the introduction of support for configuring multiple Netmap entries for mailboxes that require access from multiple IP ranges. This functionality would significantly enhance our ability to manage access control for partners with dynamic IP assignments.

What is your industry? Construction / Architecture / Engineering
How will this idea be used?
  • Improved Partner Access Control: Organizations can offer secure access to partners who have dynamic IP addresses by specifying multiple allowed IP ranges within Netmaps for a single mailbox.

  • Enhanced Security and Flexibility: This feature would allow for stricter access control while still accommodating partners who need to access their mailboxes from various locations.

  • Streamlined Administration: Managing partner access with multiple IP addresses would become easier by eliminating the need for separate mailboxes or complex workarounds.

By implementing this functionality, the SPE would cater to a wider range of access control scenarios and improve the overall security posture for organizations using the platform.
