Hi Noel,
Thanks for sharig more details. The issue here is with the KEY part. Currently we cannot pass the same key to the backend (as we dont have the private key). There should be some means authentication with backend servers hence we need to think of an alternative appraoch in that case. Let me get back after discussing this with development team. Appreciate your patience.
Regards,
Vijay
Hello Vijay,
we need to be able to Pass-through information's when using " Password Or Key " method because we have one of our sftp gateway which is based on an OpenSsh SFTP server (not B2BI). On this infrastructure, we cannot interconnect SEAS with our OpenSsh SFTP server to authenticate users by Password or Key, so we need SSP to be able to communicate credentials to outbound node as it receives it.
Regards.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas. During our review of this enhancement request we thought some more backgorund would help us to understand this better. Since the Pass-through can be only possible via Password, how would the "Password OR Key" help in your use case?
Thank you for bringing your ideas to us. If you have any additional feedback, thoughts or ideas, or if there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to reply to this message to continue the conversation. Appreciate your patience.
Thanks,
Product Management
