Enable SIP IV Inventory consideration update in Order Hub (Custom Supply/Demand Match)

Currently Inventory consideration is not editable by Business users and is not allowing to onboard strategic Supply Integration with different Supply Type and make them considered for Promising after the reconciliation is complete

Hi Venita - in current Sterling OMS we have options to choose which supply is considered for a demand as a editable configuration - https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/call-center/10.0?topic=types-defining-inventory-considerations

As of now we do not have that with in SIP - https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/intelligent-promising?topic=demand-matching-supply

We would need to make this in SIP editable similar to OMS.

    Use case:

Retailers needs to track supply against different supply type (extended) which they may not want to consider for day 1 into availability calculation for a demand, at some point they would like to start considering. For example if retailer only consider ONHAND as supply to support their customer sales order demand when first implemented SIP and OMS, now their business is looking to introduce say future stock into the availability calculation but they wanted to have different type of supply types - they first want to onboard all the inbound supply into system and want to get confidence before they enable those supply to be considered.

In this use case with in OMS - we would have extended PO related base supply types to cover retailer requirement but unchecked them in Sterling Application Manager, then integrate with ERPs/Procurement Systems to load data into OMS, once reconciliation is complete and business is happy with the results, we would have gone into OMS and checked these new supply types to be considered for availability calculations.

Currently it is not possible in SIP, as a work around we could extend PLAN base type to onboard and upload the data into SIP - there are no provision to change the base supply type of an extended supply type as an API.

We require this functionality and also if possible please add changing of base supply type after we start loading data against extended supply type (of course constrains like ETA would need to meet to apply this change)

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you require futher more clarifications.
