Prepare to support EBICS v4.0

EBICS is a banking standard used by banks and corporations in Europe for payments, cash and treasury management etc. The EBICS organisation is looking to build on the harmonisation introduced in EBICS v3, introduced in 2018, focusing on:

  • EBICS V 4.0 will improve the standard from the customer perspective taking current and future requirements
of all corporate customers into account.
  • EBICS should be further developed in a sustainable and future-proof manner in terms of technology and security

To ensure continued support for IBM's existing customers using EBICS and to enable wider usage of Sterling File Gateway for EBICS v4, IBM should engage with the EBICS SC now.
