Email alerts for SEAS errors

Currently errors within SEAS cannot be detected without logging into the server and manually checking the SEAS logs. LDAP related failures (for example loss of connectivity to LDAP or expired password for the login we bind to LDAP with) are an example of this. In order to respond quickly to these errors it would be helpful if we could configure alerting to send an email to the operations group in the case of problems.

This is definitely a must. At present we do it via a script which is added to the crontab. This is not the ideal way however the best way at present to detect errros in the SEAS logs. Also we should be able to report errors in terms of priority. LDAP connection errors as top priority and then user credentials error could be configured as needed.
