OpenLDAP support - Force password change on File Gateway Logon

We use OpenLDAP for password authentication of our external customers. Spoke with IBM developers (listed in PMR - Naru Manda) and was told that when Sterling was written because OpenLDAP did not have a password policy at the time, that no hook was put into Sterling File Gateway/SSP that would force a new user to change their initial password on logon. OpenLDAP has a policy now, but their is no hook in SEAS/SSP to force new users to change their password when they logon to File Gateway when using OpenLDAP as the password authentication mechanism.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience and your recommendations. We needed one clarification,

Is SSO login portal is being usedd with SSO. Is this Force change password feature is being referenced to the login portal?

    Thanks,
