Align Retention of Filter/Search Criteria Functionality Across Code List/Mapping/Transformations/Connections for Consistent Behavior

Currently when using the Search Bar in Code List/Mapping/Transformations, the functionality is inconsistent across all three.

Search in Mapping (partial or full name search) then click into any of the maps that come up to review it.  To go back to the Mapping landing page by clicking 'Mappings' (only option to go back), the search criteria is wiped out and the full list of maps is shown again.

Search in Code Lists (partial or full name search) then click into any of the code lists that come up to review it. To go back to the Code Lists landing page by clicking 'Code list' (only option to go back), the search criteria is wiped out but the result from the search remains.

Search in Transformations (partial or full name search) then click into any of the envelopes that come up to review it. To go back to the Transformations landing page by clicking 'Envelopes' (only option to go back), the search criteria remains and the search remains.

Search in Connections and Trading Partner Connections (partial or full name search) then click into any of the Connections that come up to review it. To go back to the Connections landing page by clicking 'Connections' or 'Trading partner resources' (only option to go back), the search criteria remains and the search remains.

The search bar behavior across Code List/Mapping/Transformations/Connections that is put in should remain in place until removed instead of being wiped out by going back to the landing screen

During PER triage or when reviewing a client solution for PER work, we often need to put in partial map names to review logic in multiple maps. Doing a partial name search gives us the ability to pull up multiple maps with one search parameter so that we can download each for review or to attach to a case. Currently we have to waste time redoing the same search multiple times after we select each map needed. Extra steps because the search criteria does not stay.

    Hi Erin,

Thank you for highlighting this inconsistency and documenting the exact behaviors across Code Lists, Mappings, Transformations, and Connections. This is very helpful. Consistent retention of search and filter criteria is an important usability improvement, especially for users who work through multiple assets in sequence.

We will review this with the UX and engineering teams to assess the effort required to standardize the behavior across all modules. To help with scoping, please share any additional examples where losing the search criteria has impacted your workflow or increased time during troubleshooting—this will help us better understand frequency and user impact.

Thank you again for raising this and for your continued engagement in improving the B2B Integration SaaS experience.

    Best regards,

    Manoj Panda
