This portal is to open public enhancement requests for IBM Sterling products and services. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Thank you Erin for raising this suggestion. I understand the challenge—when IBM internal users access Modern Inflight, the Company dropdown currently displays all company types (including internal, test, and non-customer entities), which makes the list unnecessarily long and harder to navigate.
Your request to limit the dropdown to only Customer Type = Customer values for IBMers is valid and aligns with our goal to simplify the experience and reduce noise in operational workflows. We will evaluate how this filtering can be implemented without impacting other user groups or access rules.
To help us assess the scope, I would like to to know from you few more details.
Is this requirement only for IBM internal users, or also for partner/support users with elevated roles?
Are there any specific non-customer company types that still need to remain visible for IBMers (e.g., internal testing, QA environments)?
Do IBM internal users ever need to search across all company types for troubleshooting, or is restricting to customer-only always acceptable?
Approximately how many irrelevant (non-customer) companies currently appear in the dropdown for IBMers?
Would you prefer a filtered default view (only customers) with an optional toggle to “Show All Companies”?
Feel free to share additional examples so we can evaluate this enhancement thoroughly.
Regards,
Manoj Panda
