ASN timeliness issue corrective action during VAN outage
We recently had a Sterling VAN outage where all our ASNs were delayed to our Customers. This caused the timeliness issue and we received penalty.
We can avoid it if either of below two solution is implemented in Inflight. 1. Once a VAN outage is detected, kindly stop the translation of ASNs (from XML to EDI) so that Shipment time is not added in EDI file. Once resumed, we can start translation and add the shipment time(EDI translation time) in 856.
2. Or once the VAN outage is completed, can we stop all files and restart them instead of resending them to Customers. This will re-translate the file and send it to Customers.
