podman support for PEM

RHEL 8 native provides podman instead of docker. While it's possible to install docker ce on RHEL, that puts the user into unsupported area with RHEL 8 support. Would like to have podman as a support container engine.

How will this idea be used?

We're upgrade our Linux hosts to RHEL 8 and would need podman as supported container engine so we don't have to put in workaround to pull in docker ce and are able to maintain a supported build with RH support..

    Hi @GregRussell

    Any updates on this enhancement? Podman installed in RHEL8 is supported by RedHat but Docke CE is not supported by Red Hat.

    Adding my support to this request. Our organization does not support docker on RHEL but would be supportive of using podman for PEM installation
