Partner Password change in IBM MFT Suite (SFG , SEAS ,SSP ) should reflect in PEM User Credentials

The password change though SSO Login Page is reflecting in either SI (if B2Bi is acting as LDAP) and any other third party LDAP Servers. The same has to be reflected in PEM also then only the User Credentials in PEM and IBM MFT suite are in sync.

Generally any sort of secured implementation requires password change of partner in first login , the same is getting updated in LDAP through SEAS but there is no provision to update the same in PEM.

Partners can change the password in MyFilegateway Portal and SI Admin can change the partner password in SI Dashboard. Whenever a change in password should reflect in PEM also. Else the User Credentials in PEM and IBM MFT Suite will be not in sync.

Below are the RFEs raised under SEAS and SFG for the same.

How will this idea be used?

PEM and IBM MFT Suite (SFG , B2Bi, SSP and SEAS) are IBM Products only and all we use for one solution. If this is not implemented then the user credentials are not in sync in IBM Products itself.

Thanks for the Response Greg, that's really a good add-on to product. Most of the SFG implementations have SFG is acting as LDAP , in that case we need to sync the password with credentials stored in SFG. Along with that plain SFG setups (no SEAS,SSP) without SSO , the partners can change the password through myfilegateway portal also. Hope you are considering these two usecases also.

We already have plans to address SSO in PEM with plans in 2021 to provide support for PEM using SSP and SEAS. When we go to SSO, we won't be storing the password in PEM so if passwords are changed in LDAP, they will be able to access PEM with the their updated LDAP password since we rely on LDAP for authentication.

As we are working on delivering the SSO plans, we will research whether we will be going out of sync with LDAP and the corresponding applications.
