Carrier Integration without Manifest

Carrier integration is needed to generate tracking number and print shipping label.

API getTrackingNoAndPrintLabel is used to get tracking number and print label.

This API adds ManifestKey and ManifestNo to YFS_SHIPMENT table.

This necessitates use of addContainerToManifest and then confirmShipment once a days by Manifest closure process.

Currently we want to confirm shipment throughout the day for every shipment, one hour after it is packed. This will allow payment settlement and sales feed throughout the day.

confirmShipment does not support a confirming a shipment which has ManifestKey updated.


We would like.

1] confirmShipment to ignore ManifestKey and mark shipment as shipped.

OR

2] Ability in changeShipment API to remove ManifestKey and ManifestNo

How will this idea be used?

We will use getTrackingNoAndPrintLabel to get tracking number and print label.

We will avoid the use of addContainerToManifest api call

We will either call confirmShipment (if enhancement is provided in this API) or call changeShipment (if enhancement is provided in this API) to clear ManifestKey and ManifestNo and then call confirmShipment API to mark the shipment as shipped one hour after it is packed.
