Different safety factor % of onhand buffer to be set for each Node Type

Bussiness needs to mask an article with item node combination as there might be different scenario's where the store decides not to sell an item even if there is an inventory in the store.

So we are looking if there is any other configuration which can satisfy our requirement to mask an article only for certain node types.

What is your industry? Retail
How will this idea be used?

CS and FO are the two different node types used.

100% Masking needs to be applied for Article A + NodeType CS. Where as the 10% masking has to be set for the same Article A with NodeType FO.

We are not able to achieve this with the current safety factor configuration available as the percentage will be common for all the node types configured.

    Hello Sankarasubbu.

Thanks for sending in this request. We are marking this as not under consideration at this time. However, we wanted to call out that a new feature that will likely cover this use case is in the process of being implemented within the Inventory Visibility product. Additionally, note that within the current Order Management solution it may be possible to achieve this result with existing features by setting safety factor at the item/node level.

a configuration to mask an article like this would definitely be useful with stores that have inventory available but are unable to fulfil through ship from store. i.e damaged packaging/returns that can still be sold in store.
