Complete Data Purge Mechanism for IBM Sterling Order Service (OS)

Currently, IBM Sterling Order Service lacks a built-in mechanism or utility to comprehensively and permanently delete/purge data records from all underlying data stores simultaneously.

Specifically, there is no standardized process to ensure that data is completely removed from both:

  1. Cassandra: The primary operational database.

  2. Elasticsearch (ES): The system used for indexing and search functionalities.

We request the development of a formal Complete Data Purge/Delete Utility or API for Order Service.

Key Requirement: The new mechanism must provide a reliable, auditable method to permanently delete a specified set of data (based on criteria like Order ID, date range, etc.) from both Cassandra and Elasticsearch simultaneously or through a tightly coupled process.
