Smaller Stack/Images

Currently, IBM Sterling has a very monolithic deployment, which means that the entire OMS scope is included in the deployment image.
Especially in cases of limited use, where a customer does not use all functions, customers have to install significantly more than they actually want (currently over 2 GB base image, agentserver over 700 MB!).
The base stack should be reduced in size and scope. You should be able to choose what to include in the image.
In particular, a small base component that contains only the essential order management functions (like order creation, order modification, order validation, consolidation and dispatch) would be useful. This should be available for separate deployment. Extensions in this area of the stack should not require the complete deployment of all other components.

Advantages:
•    Make updates more independent
•    Reduce risks for deployments, especially when updating to new minor/major versions
•    Significantly smaller deployment images, so less space used in the image repository
•    Faster startup times
•    Less complexity
•    Cost savings in infrastructure
•    Better performance
