Enable Dynamic Carrier and Carrier Service Selection in ScheduleOrder Transaction

We request an enhancement to the IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) to allow the ScheduleOrder transaction to dynamically compute and assign the best available Carrier and Carrier Service when these are not explicitly specified on the Order Line . The design should also accept different carrier and carrier service at order line schedule level and an order line fulfilled from multiple ship nodes.
The enhancement should also support UserExits to implement custom business rules for carrier selection, such as:

• Item-specific shipping restrictions

• Promised Delivery Date constraints

• Cost-based preferences

  • If Carrier and Carrier Service are not specified, ScheduleOrder should evaluate available options and select the optimal combination.
