Enhance DTK to run in exploded mode

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

Developers need a way to deploy customizations quickly and run tests on the tool kit. In the non-docker solution, there was a exploded mode deployment wherein the custom.jar can be replaced, appserver bounced to perform unit testing

No such option is provided in the docker-compose commands in the toolkit. Instead, for every change, there is a need to perform a build-extn which redeploys smcfs.ear and this takes a few minutes to complete.

Ask here is to provide option in DTK to deploy smcfs.ear in exploded mode and replace only custom.jar

One custom approach was : "I went into the container running WAS, exploded the smcfs.ear, mapped the smcfs.ear folder on local machine using volume.

To deploy customization, I replaced the yfsextn.jar and restarted the WAS container and it was able to recognize the changes.

So, the ask is to make this an option in the DTK or suggest if there is a better way to do this type of deployment. "

What is your industry? Retail
How will this idea be used?

This will significantly improve developer productivity instead of the current approach of building smcfs.ear each and every time. Currently, this is causing team to slow down in their development.
