Product improvement for reading pdf and ZPL data along with image format

Currently OMS Provides SFS Feature which helps to print data only if it is in image format.


FedEx and UPS carrier system supports image data. But other carriers like postAT, DHL send response in pdf data or ZPL data form.


IBM does not support those formats which lead to lot of customization of codes to read that format. it also requires POC activities. Sometimes it does not work.


Is it possible to make changes to OOB feature to accept pdf and ZPL format like image format.


Make it configurable so that team can select type of data format.

How will this idea be used?

This helps in integrating with different carriers other than FedEx and UPS system. Some Business team wants to use localized carrier instead of UPS or FedEx.

For example : In Europe region , Austria uses PostAT as carrier and France uses laposte and Germany uses DHL.

One of this reason business team wants to use these carriers is it helps to save some amount using localized carrier and also it local carriers can ship to every address in region which UPS or FedEx does not.

    Can you please provide some more details of how the data will be returned. Is it just pdf that needs to be displayed?

    How does a zpl format look like? Basically we need to know if we can do this without a third party.

    Will you be able to provide a sample for us.
