Hi Vijay,
With a change in a plan and make implementation easier, IBM will release this feature only in the capacity of it's usage through UE. Mentioned UE will be enhanced to support customers to customize the feature for own use. Knowledge center will be updated for the usage. Tentative ETA is Q1-2024.
Please share your priority to take this feature live and in case IBM can help in that regard. You can stay in touch witn IBM contact as before to get more details.
Thanks,
Solution for OH-I-113: Engineering team has tried reaching out to a consultant. Proposed solution document is shared with a consultant.
1. We will provide a product enhancement to “override transit time calculation for procurement currently based on node transfer schedule” to “calculations based on Carrier Service Code returned from deliveryLeadTimeUE” during scheduleOrder or findInventory. Tentative ETA Q1-2024.
2. Customer Implementation team will be required to implement the deliveryLeadTimeUE and provide valid carrier service code wherever applicable.
3. For created transfer orders, specifying carrier service on order line will be sufficient.
Pls could we involve the client at various stages of design to ensure it meets their requirements?
Tentative plan to release this feature is at the end of Q1 24.
Burberry want to know when IBM is taking this enhancement request like feature flag .could you share the tentative date .
Hi Vijay, Please re-open existing support case or create a new support case to get a support from IBM team to implement UE based solution.
thanks,
Bharat K
Hi Vijay,
To continue the business, IBM will provide the alternative mechanism (UE based correction mechanism to introduce carrier service during PTO creation) and it is suggested to use it for current business scenario as well as other related business scenarios as applicable.
IBM is taking this enhancement request for future consideration.
thanks,
Bharat K
We are considering a feature to drop the orders ASAP to the store/fulfillment location regardless of the customer request date. While the default behavior may not change, it is expected to have a feature flag which allows configurations to skip the system calculations for just-in-time fulfillment
There is no transit hours in carrier service. It is only days.
Could you please check transit time feature once more time. What is use of that feature it it will skip one day .It should handle by product .For Burberry There is no use of thursday Capacity .
I request to re -consider that .
Hello,
After reviewing this use case and the product behavior, we concluded that we the observed product behavior is the most optimal in terms of goods movement and saving capacity of the store for unexpected orders. This is for just-in-time fulfillment which reduces time in transit for shipments.
To overcome the dates, you may choose to use changeOrderScheudle api to override dates on transfer orders. Alternately, you can also use an internal carrier service which considers deliveries on non-working days (essentially accounting for goods movements on non-working dates).
Thanks for logging this idea. I'm currently researching this.
